Amalgamated Plantations unveils first tea lounge in Guwahati

The Tea Cove, India’s second largest tea producer—Tata Group enterprise Amalgamated Plantations (APPL)—has launched its first tea lounge, The Tea Cove, in Guwahati, and plans to expand and add a couple of lounges.

The company stated that Tea Cove will have a varied range of teas that will appeal to the consumer. The century-long heritage and expertise in tea of APPL will present a unique tea experience for guests.

Historically, their tea shop on GS Road has been a favourite in Guwahati. Tea connoisseurs from different parts of the city frequented the store to buy estate fresh teas along with estate fresh spices, honey, etc. Keeping consumer demand in mind, APPL has given the store a makeover, complete with a lounge space.

The lounge will also be offering loose teas from its own estates and tea packs from brands like Hathikuli, Teas from India and Majuli Mist Roasted.
